Smart Meter

TEPCO implemented a project to install approximately 28.4 million smart meters in all households and businesses, except for some locations where meter replacement was impossible, by the end of FY2020. These smart meters send and process power consumption (cumulative value) data every 30 minutes. We are currently working on ensuring stable operation of this smart meter system.

Hair Dryer

Most hair dryers consist of electric heating coils and a fan that blows the air (usually powered by a universal motor). The heating element in most dryers is a bare, coiled nichrome wire that is wrapped around mica insulators. Nichrome is used due to its high resistivity, and low tendency to corrode when heated.

EV Charger 1.2 kW

Electric vehicle chargers, also known as EV chargers are devices designed specifically to recharge the battery of a vehicle. They function similarly to how fuel pumps work for combustion engine vehicles but instead of gasoline or diesel they provide energy to the vehicles battery.
